Corbin and Alyssandra were amazing in the car and took turns helping Grandpa drive up the mountain (for all freaking about because my kids are behind the wheel of a moving vehicle....there are only 2 other cars on the road because we are literally up in the mountain.....no worries)
Corbin loved fishing....even Josh got in on the action this year.
My brothers are wickedly handsome and talented!
Corbin was fascinated with the worms and yes, he put a worm on his eye. He was playing with it down low and I said, "Corbin, hold the worm up by your eye so mommy can take a picture." And he went above and beyond and put it on his eye....silly boy.
Corbin got read to by his uncle and mommy cuddled up to the fire.
I was worried Alyssandra would have a hard time sleeping in the mountains and she did fantastic!!!
But the best part of Ferron (besides of course being there with my family and watching my kids have a blast) was the Man Competition. Where we go camping there is literally nothing! (besides natural beauty!) No cabins, no electricity, no nothing. So you really are left to entertain yourselves. This year the boys had a man competition and it was so fun. They would find huge logs and chop them with the axe. It was so fun to watch and they would crack jokes at each other.....it was fun!
Anyhoo....this was our Ferron trip this year...
OH! I almost forgot!
We tasted the best doughnuts in the world! They are in this little supermarket in Gunnison where we stop to fill up on last minute provisions for the trip! Josh and I got 2 dozen on the way up to share and they were gone in a second! On the way back we got 4 dozen and they lasted maybe 2 minutes longer than the first batch! So good!
