A Very Special Hat

While we were at the family reunion this year....Corbin received a very special hat. You see the Hunt reunion is held at a magical ranch in Kanab,UT. Perfect for kids. Corbin was really getting into the cowboy spirit. He was chasing goats and sheep, talking to chickens, and herding cattle. (That's not a joke, my little 2 year old was herding cattle. Running giant cows up the road!) He was loving every second of it! Grandpa Hunt seemed very happy about it. I said that when we got back home we would have to find Corbin a kids cowboy hat. Grandpa said to hold on, went into the trailer and brought out one of HIS OWN cowboy hats. This hat had the sweat of a real cowboy! So he sat down and worked on it a bit and got it to fit on Corbin's head. He was more than thrilled! I cried of course. It meant so much too me. Corbin's middle name is Douglas after Grandpa and it was just a really wonderful thing. The only bad part about this story is we dealt with a major fit when we tried to explain to Corbin that cowboys don't sleep in their cowboy hats. haha. He wore that hat the whole time we were there! He even calls it his special cowboy hat!
